The MPD was designed as a SCUBA diving and rafting version of the MPU, but with a blunt tip for prying and to prevent suit or inflatable boat puncture. It has also been used by rescue personnel and military medical personnel due to the blunt tip for cutting seat belts and cutting clothing or equipment off of the victim without cutting the person’s skin or other equipment. It is only available in an all titanium construction for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. This knife will never rust or corrode and is nonmagnetic. The MPD comes fully serrated and is great at cutting through rope, wire, cloth, or ammo bands. A Kydex sheath is included and an optional PALS/MOLLE attachment system and detachable G10 handles with titanium screws are available.
